Today is just not my day.

1. Colleague came to bombard questions on WHY she has to pay $3k for surgery? WHY she cannot use “her card”? She chose a higher grade ward. She should have asked the Financial Counsellor at the hospital what other means can she use to offset the $3k that she has to pay! And not ask me why her card cannot offset cost for a higher grade ward!

WHY must she come and spoil my day when it hasnt started!

2. Friend who has been missing in action suddenly reappears to ask me if i’m going away on trip? What’s plans for the next long weekend. And when she failed to elicit more than monosyllabic response, she asked even more – seemingly just to make herself feel better than I’ve no plans for long weekend?

You win, ok. You win.

3. Someone whom I’ve already warned of a scam comes back to rebuke me – saying it’s no harm trying (even if it’s a scam).

Ok fine.

Go ahead.

Poke me to death. All you horrids.

The first ever race

I took part in my first ever cross country race today. And it is also the first ever running race that I’ve ever signed up for. 3.2km through the trail of macritchie reservoir. Gosh, it’s totally so unlike me!

Dedicate this to my significant other who is the one who started me on my running routine.

Ho Chi Minh Day 4

My last meal at HCMC was at Wrap & Roll. I was so spoilt for choice by the variety that it offers.

The coffee and cuisine make me wanna go back for more. But I probably won’t be back for a long time.

Ho Chi Minh Day 3

My second last day in HCMC. I trekked along the tourist path from Notre Dame Cathedral to Reunification Palace and then to the War Remnants Museum. A pity I didn’t get to visit the Museum as it was closed that morning.

The Notre Dame Cathedral looks rather different from the one in Paris. But it’s the only place that I can enjoy some quiet in this busy city. No car horns!

I spent the afternoon at this cute cafe called Bitter Sweet Coffee. Very cute name, very pretty deco but the Jumbo Fried Chicken with rice that I had was a real disappointment.

Ho Chi Minh City Day 2

I wandered around the streets of HCMC on my own for the next 2 days of my trip.

I spent the morning shopping at Ben Thanh Market. Lots and lots of shops that make me totally confused about what to buy and what not to buy!

The roads are so busy, and I wonder why they would sit by the roads and watch the traffic buzz.

I spent the next 2 hours at Trung Nguyen Coffee, just to zone out and watch the street while I sip yummy Vietnamese coffee.

I find the ladies who peddled food on the streets very fascinating. They can just set up their stalls under a tree, or lamp post or just on the road.
