Went out shooting with friends last night.
Had fun and really enjoyed myself, even though I went to work feeling so tired and had fires to fight!
Realised that I now tend to shoot slower and shoot the same thing a bit more before I move on.

Really grateful that the rain stopped just before the shoot commenced.

I got up slightly earlier to finish up my row of Tmax 400 (while people were out on their long run at ECP… ) one fine day.  Brought along my D60, although I really prefer to shoot film at this point in time.

Been waiting to take pictures of this old building for a long time. Thought this will make a good subject for B&W.

Just finished developing the film last week, haven’t had time to print! Here are the digital ones.

I realise I’ve been smiling plasticky recently.

Auntie: Do you run?
Me: Not really.
Auntie: Oh, so what do you do when he runs? You watch TV?
Me: <SMILE> Yeeeah, I watch TV.

Dinner conversation B:

Babe of the club: So, are you going to Penang with him?
Me: Ah, yah.
Babe of the club: Just to see?
Me: <SMILE> Yaaaah, just be a spectator.

Conversation with Boss 1:

Boss: You’ve been selected to join the new team cos we feel that you are most suitable.
Me: <Nod>
Boss: If I were you, I will take that as compliment.
Me: <SMILE> Thank you.

我还是被骗了。

十年前，和友人兴致勃勃到圣淘沙追流星雨。 结果败兴而归， 只见到两颗流星。

十年后的今天，我还是三更半夜爬起来，希望能看见一场流星雨。但是，天不作美。夜晚的天空布满了云。

天快亮时，守得云开，但没见到任何流星。

我再也不相信能在新加坡看流星雨了。但是，我还是想到 Pulau Semakau 看星星！

The dinner conversation with a group of runners revolved around training frequency, training location, shoes, attire and of course, timing.

The young chap in the group said a senior runner’s advice went something like this: (Doesn’t matter what you wear)… Let the timing speak for itself.

I can’t help but link it to the class on Tues - the uncles who think they’ve shot more than I’ve drank milk. This is a funny analogy, but that was how I felt.

It wasn’t until the shots came out and until the prints are done that they realise they speak more than they shoot.

One of them spoke about his collection of 10 cameras, comprising leica, hasselblad, lubitel. And how he criticised that my rollei is “not good enough” (“80mm, f2.8 is best!”).

What is the point of collecting so many cameras when the shots are lousy? Having many cameras make you a collector, not a photographer!

The gist of the story is:

Someone has been very unhappy with me -

• called me on a Saturday morning at 7am so that I cannot go for Lasik in Aug citing reasons that it’s non-critical surgery and I had to cover colleagues’ work; 
• started throwing ALL work to me, even though the work should be done by fellow colleagues;  
• nitpicked on my work;
• questioned on where and what I did on my leave (it’s only 2 days); and
• even conducted a postmortem without me, when I was the one who did the work.

Fine.

Now Someone wants to go on a study trip next week, but the person involved in the project is unable to go because he is going on a trip. And as the covering person, I’m supposed to go. Fine. But Someone said I don’t have to go since I am also going away on the last day of the trip. Fine Fine.  So the baton gets passed around and no one wants to go. And now colleagues are blaming me because Someone said it’s ok and I don’t have to go since I am going away.

The best part of the story is the study trip is not confirmed.

The conclusion is:  It’s really time to go.

I can’t get to sleep after waking up.
This is the dunno-how-many-th time in the past 2 weeks. Many things are biting me, and those must be the cause of this syndrome.
